Hen Coleman is a London based artist whose work practice combines photographic, drawn and printed elements. Hen has a BA Hons in Fine Art and an MA from the Royal College of Art. She currently works as a Print Tutor at the Royal Academy Schools. Her work has been shown in various London Galleries, the London Underground´s Platform Art and print portfolios including Curwen Studio´s 50th Anniversary Collection.
In this new work an image of a moon´s surface has been burnt into a heavyweight black paper, recreating a literal topography of the surface. The light of the laser elicits the image in the same way that the sun illuminates earth´s moon.
